Swissco workers occupy company’s Little Island plant in Cork

Swissco workers are occupying the Little Island plant in Cork, in protest at the company’s closure and lack of information about its finances. Pay is in arrears and there is no indication of how redundancy compensation will be dealt with.

SIPTU Sectoral Organiser Alan O’Leary met the liquidator this evening to discuss the situation. The meeting is continuing.
