Support Services

The Union offers a range of support services to assist SIPTU members in securing  improved pay, conditions and other benefits at work as well as lobbying for increased levels of social provision in society as a whole.

These support services include:

  • SIPTU College – which is the home of the Union's Education and Training Department, the Industrial Engineering Department, the Health and Safety Unit and the IDEAS Institute;
  • The Equality Unit;
  • The Organising Unit;
  • The Research Department;
  • The Publications and Public Relations Department; and
  • Irish Trade Union Trust - the Union's Social Solidarity Service.

The Union also offers a range of additional benefits to members - including special discounts on a range of financial products and services – in conjunction with  TUF - the Trade Union Federation - which was established jointly by SIPTU and the TEEU.
