Congress to Launch Campaign of Opposition
Date Released: 19 Oct 2009On Wednesday (October 21) the Irish Congress of Trade Unions will formally launch its public campaign of opposition to Government inaction on the jobs crisis; to proposed cuts in peoples’ incomes and cuts in vital services.
It will be launched by Congress President, Jack O’Connor and General Secretary David Begg and details of the campaign – including the national Day of Protest – will be presented.
The launch will take place in The O’Connell Room, Gresham Hotel, Dublin, at 2pm.
