The Equality Rights Alliance (ERA) came together during the period of the Fianna Fáil/Green government as a response to the undermining of our equality, human rights, anti-racism and anti-poverty institutions.  SIPTU fully supports its focus of attempting to rebuild and strengthen the equality and human rights statutory infrastructure while empowering communities.

The ERA is a coalition of 169 civil society groups and activists throughout Ireland. Members represent women, older people, children, minority ethnic people, people with disabilities, workers, migrants, Travellers, gay, lesbian and transgender people, parents, carers and many more.
