A wide variety of workers, from hotel staff to employees of the national broadcaster RTE, have their interests catered for in this sector. Employees in the catering and hotel sector have faced particular problems with workplace exploitation and SITPU has focused attention on ensuring these workers are organised.

Through the cultural grouping, comprising of the Irish Equity Group, Musicians Union Ireland and Film, SIPTU represents performers and artists across the entire spectrum of entertainment. Within the Leisure Sector Horse Racing Ireland and Bord na gCon are among the bigger employers whose workers are represented by SIPTU. Major contract catering companies whose workers are represented by the Union include Soxedo and Eurest.
