The General Secretary of SIPTU, Joe O’Flynn, has expressed his deep condolences to the family and friends of Cormac Ó Braonáin following his tragic death.
As chairperson of Labour Youth, Cormac worked closely with members of the Union on a range of campaigns over recent years.
“On behalf of the Officers of the Union, the National Executive Council and the wider SIPTU family, I would like to express our deep condolences to Cormac’s family and friends at this very difficult time,” Joe O’Flynn said.
“Cormac displayed all the hallmarks of a very capable organiser, combining his energy and passion to shape a better, fairer world with a natural ability to get things done and bring people together in the pursuit of fairness at work and justice in society.
