SIPTU’s Workplace Democracy Campaign continues with a discussion on The Future of Collective Bargaining in Ireland.

I will be discussing collective bargaining with experts Esther Lynch, Gerry McCormack and Owen Reidy.

We will discuss the particular challenges faced by workers and their unions in the Republic of Ireland and potential ways forward.

We will hear from leading negotiator, Esther Lynch about the latest developments in the negotiation of a draft EU Directive that deals with collective bargaining.

Gerry McCormack, SIPTU Deputy General Secretary and Owen Reidy, Assistant General Secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions will discuss the particular challenges for collective bargaining in the Republic of Ireland in light of recent legal judgements.

They will explain why workers and their unions here confront unique difficulties compared to our counterparts in other EU countries and they will plot out potential ways forward for the labour movement in Ireland.

This is a discussion which should not be missed for those interested in the future of work, workers and their unions in Ireland. Click here to register.
