Members of the SIPTU Construction Sector employed in University Hospital Galway and University Hospital Kerry have secured the €1000 Pandemic Recognition Payment.
SIPTU Organiser, Patrick Thornton, said: “The payment followed negotiations between hospital management and union representatives which concluded that SIPTU Construction Sector members employed in the hospital were frontline workers and eligible for inclusion in the scheme.”
