SIPTU has agreed to attend conciliation talks at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) on Monday (12th October) concerning the dispute at Irish Rail arising from the company’s failure to discuss and address past productivity issues. SIPTU Organiser, Paul Cullen, said: “Union representatives have agreed to attend a conciliation meeting at the WRC. We received an invitation to attend following a request from the company to the WRC to reconvene talks on the issues in dispute.“SIPTU representatives are prepared to listen to what management has to say on Monday concerning a possible solution to this dispute.”
