SIPTU members working in Trinity College Dublin have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial and strike action, in a dispute concerning the failure of management to offer permanent contracts to staff, in a ballot counted in Liberty Hall, Dublin 1, today (Friday, 10th March). SIPTU Public Administration and Community Division Organiser, John King, said: “Following this decisive vote by our members today the SIPTU Trinity College Dublin Section Committee will meet on Wednesday, 22nd March, to discuss the next steps in this campaign. “SIPTU representatives have advised the management of Trinity College Dublin that we remain available for meaningful negotiations in advance of the meeting on the 22nd March.”
