SIPTU members in Dublin Bus will vote on Labour Court proposals for a company cost savings plan next week. Prior to the ballot, SIPTU representatives will hold a general meeting of Dublin Bus drivers in Liberty Hall on Monday, 12th August. SIPTU members in other grades will be briefed directly by their workplace representatives on the Labour Court proposals.SIPTU Organiser, John Murphy, said: “We are making every effort to ensure that all our members are fully briefed on the content of these proposals prior to the commencement of the balloting process.”He added: “It is intended to begin balloting members early next week with the aim of announcing the result of the vote on Friday, 16th August. During this consultation period Dublin Bus workers will continue to provide an efficient transport service for the people of Dublin.”
