SIPTU has served seven days strike notice on Greyhound Household in west Dublin where workers have been prevented from attending work under their current terms and conditions of employment since 6.00 a.m. on Tuesday, 17th June. “Strike notice has been served and will come into effect at 6.00 a.m. on Friday 27th June. Our members have been forced into this action because of the company’s unilateral imposition of terms and conditions of employment that have not been agreed and contain up to 35% pay cuts. They also contain changes to sick pay, bonuses, meal allowances and other conditions of employment.” SIPTU has 70 members in the company which has a contract to collect household waste for Dublin City Council.
