SIPTU representatives have accepted an invitation issued through the offices of the ICTU to attend a meeting with Transdev, the operator of the LUAS light rail network, at the Labour Court tomorrow (Thursday, 26th May). SIPTU Transport, Energy, Aviation and Construction Division Organiser, Owen Reidy, said: “Given this welcome initiative from the Labour Court the work stoppages by SIPTU LUAS Drivers scheduled for Thursday, 26th May, and Friday, 27th May, have been cancelled. SIPTU representatives along with members of the LUAS Driver Committee and ICTU officials will attend the meeting at the Labour Court.” He added: “SIPTU will be making no further comment on the matter at this time.”
