SIPTU has served notice of industrial action on Resource Facilities Service Ltd for Monday, 16th December. The company operates cleaning services at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. SIPTU Organiser, Ed Kenny, said: “SIPTU members will be placing pickets on Beaumont Hospital from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Monday, 16th December. The dispute with Resource Facilities Service Ltd relates to a management decision to unilaterally implement cuts to workers Sunday premium pay.”He added: “It is unfortunate that our members have been forced into taking this action. Union representatives remain available to enter into meaningful discussions at any time with the management of Resource Facilities Service Ltd.”SIPTU represents approximately 90 workers employed by Resource Facilities Service Ltd at Beaumont Hospital.
