The Aviation Sector Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on 10th March in Portlaoise, County Laois. The well-attended event saw constructive discussions on several issues.

SIPTU Deputy General Secretary for the Private Sector Greg Ennis and SIPTU TEAC Divisional Organiser Willie Noone both addressed the AGM and spoke on several varied and diverse topics such as: a downward trend in membership in certain sectors while acknowledging the 26% increase in membership in the Aviation Sector since the low of December 2022, the illegal war in Iran and the uncertainty this could bring to aviation. Other key issues that were discussed included CEO pay increases and no living wage in Ireland, broken promises by the political parties on improvements to statutory sick pay, ICTU private sector pay increase guidelines and the cap on passenger numbers at Dublin Airport.
