SIPTU members employed by Resources Facilities Services Ltd at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, voted on Monday, 13th January, to accept Labour Relations Commission (LRC) proposals to end a dispute at the contract cleaning company. The dispute resulted from a company decision to implement a cut to workers pay without agreement.SIPTU Organiser, Ed Kenny, said: “Following a hearing at the LRC on Thursday, 2nd January, proposals to end the dispute which protect key employment conditions were presented to the  workers and the company. Following the vote yesterday our members have accepted these proposals, which significantly include for the first time a sick pay scheme which  involves payment to members after three days of illness.”SIPTU has 90 members employed by Resources Facilities Services Ltd in Beaumont Hospital. Resources Facilities Services Ltd workers at the hospital conducted two one-hour work stoppages on Monday, 16th December.
