SIPTU has accepted an offer to resume talks tomorrow (Tuesday, 20th October) at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) in an effort to find a resolution to a dispute concerning train drivers in Irish Rail. SIPTU Organiser, Paul Cullen, said: "This invitation has been accepted on the basis that the management of Irish Rail has committed to fully engage in negotiations related to past productivity."SIPTU representatives will go into these talks tomorrow hopeful of a constructive approach being adopted by all sides. It is hoped that management will seek to fully honour past agreements during these discussions and an agreed resolution to this dispute can be found."A three-hour work stoppage by SIPTU train drivers in Irish Rail is scheduled to take place on Friday (24th October) between 6.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m.
