SIPTU members have resolved a dispute at the Leo Pharma pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Crumlin, Dublin 12, after the company offered five of their colleagues the opportunity to return to work following their sacking in June which contravened a collective agreement. SIPTU Organiser, Jim Fuery, said: “The dispute in Leo Pharma was resolved this afternoon (Friday, 21stAugust) to the mutual satisfaction of both parties. The five SIPTU members at the centre of the dispute will be given the opportunity to return to work in Leo Pharma and the company has committed to honouring the collective agreement.“ SIPTU members had commenced industrial action consisting of two-hour rolling work stoppages, an overtime ban and non-cooperation with changes to work practices, on Monday (17th August). The deal to end the dispute was concluded following negotiations between management and SIPTU representatives.
