SIPTU representatives have written to STT Risk Management requesting a meeting to discuss a pay claim by security staff working on the LUAS light rail network in Dublin. SIPTU Sector Organiser, Diane Jackson, said: “SIPTU representatives have requested a meeting with the management of STT Risk Management which provides security services to the LUAS light rail network. This follows the rejection of a Labour Court recommendation relating to a proposed pay rise by SIPTU members.” She added: “A media report today (23rd May) referring to an imminent ballot for strike action by the workers is incorrect. The request for discussions is part of an ongoing industrial relations process which is aimed at finding an agreed resolution to the outstanding issues.”
