SIPTU has welcomed progress at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) today (Tuesday, 28th July) between the Union and St Joseph’s Centre, Shankill, concerning a pay dispute.

As a result of constructive engagement between the parties, a set of proposals has been put forward to address a dispute involving the pay rates of household staff.

As a result of the progress made, planned strike action for this week has been called off to allow SIPTU members to ballot on the proposals.

Both parties have agreed to remain committed to maintaining a constructive working relationship into the future.
