Join the fight for housing justice
We are living through the greatest housing crisis in modern history.
In this union, we believe that everyone who lives and works in Ireland has the right to a roof over their heads. Reliance on the private sector has failed – now, it’s time to organise an alternative.
We need a housing system that works for our communities, not investment funds or property developers.
Together with housing movements and tenants’ unions, SIPTU is fighting for:
- Public and affordable housing delivered through a historic campaign of government and local authority investment
- Rent controls, stronger rights and higher standards for tenants to ensure justice for everyone renting across Ireland
- And a constitutional referendum to enshrine the right to housing in our constitution
