In May, Radiation Therapists across major hospitals throughout Ireland celebrated the launch of their new Galaxy Blue uniform.
This will be the first time our Radiation Therapist members will be co-ordinated in a recognisable uniform across the HSE.
Radiation Therapists are expert oncology healthcare professionals who provide a vital service in the treatment and care of patients undergoing Radiation Therapy.
“Having our own national uniform gives us a distinct professional identity and makes us instantly recognisable to cancer patients and other professionals, particularly when working in busy oncology environments like radiation oncology,” Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist and SIPTU member, Debbie Kelleher, said.
